Join our team at Machine House Brewery in Georgetown, one of the only dedicated producers of British-style cask ales in the US.
We are seeking an adaptable, friendly bartender for our taproom in the historic Old Rainier Brewery. Job involves pulling perfect pints of cask ale, taking care of customers, keeping things clean and giving people a nice experience at Machine House. As part of a small team in a brewery with a lot going on, you will need to be ready to embrace different tasks. You will mostly be bartending solo, which can be challenging, but financially rewarding. Our brewers and other staff are around in the building most weekday daytime hours for support and guidance.
You will be trained extensively in the processes of cask ale cellarmanship, and educated in our beer and brewing techniques so that you can explain them in as much detail as customers wish to receive.
Must be able to work weekends and at least 4 days per week.
Most shifts end by 9:00 or 10:00 PM – we are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Some bartending or customer service experience is preferred.
Enthusiasm for craft beer, or specifically cask ale, is welcome.
Must have or be able to obtain WA Food Handlers Permit, and MAST alcohol server permit.
Preferred start date mid-late July.
$15.75/hr plus tips (avg. $18-25/hr)
